Reaction to pandemic

I must say my opinion of Google has drastically changed -- for the worse. I have always been a huge proponent of Google, singing the praises whenever. I have been out of work for 6+ weeks due to COVID and am behind in my bill. Asked for an extension today and was told you are only allowed 1 per 365 days. I cannot believe that Google will not waive this rule during these hard times. As an aside, doing some research, I found out that back at the start of this several internet providers agreed to a "Keep American Connected" pact whereby for a certain period of time they all agreed not to disconnect customers for non-payment . . . Google did NOT. If I cannot come up with the money (which I won't be able to) in four days, I will be disconnected. This means no way to make supplemental income while not working my f-t job, not to mention being basically cut off from everything else. I just think it is reprehensible that a company worth billions of dollars is not doing anything during these hard times.

Performance

Customer service over the phone was great. I Outside installing team was not.the outside team did not speak English showed up unannounced, and left with the cable laid above ground and on the neighbors sidewalk.i have no idea if they are coming back..

No service

Service has been very unreliable recently. It is a nuisance especially when you work from home. Then, they only want to credit your account $1.00 for not having service all day.

Internet service problems

The internet service has spotty connections throughout my home. Its been unreliable. The service representative did a great job of troubleshooting with me and was extremely responsive to my need to get this resolved.

Problem s in neighborhood with internet connection

This past week 4 Google Fi users on my block have had their internet down...some intermittently, some for days. No outages noted in my area. Something is wrong with the boxes, I think. Calls to customer service by 3 neighbors did not go well...one Google Rep. was screaming at my neighbor and then she hung up on my neighbor. My box was repaired and yet another neighbor had hers repaired a week ago and now she has no service. I hope I don't suffer the same fate. I had to argue my way into getting service yesterday. My internet has been down 3 times in last 2 weeks. Enough is enough. This is poor customer service. Going back to Comcast.

I have found Google Fiber service and customer relations to be fabulous. I had to terminate my service because my new residence provides wi-fi and Google is not an option. The agent who handled my termination request was very courteous and helpful.

My service

I've had this account for 2 weeks. I've already got a call saying my bill is due and scheduled for shut off. My internet is slower then it should be and I haven't had internet all day today and it's still not on.

User's recommendation: If they fix the issue I will tell people this is the best and least expensive quality of internet I've ever had.

Service is bad, ability to contact their customer service is a challenge

Service is disconnected for no reason with no notice causing us to shut down our office and send employees home for a period of time

Can not get my iPad or lap-top to connect to the wi-fi

Helper came out and rewired my unit and the pc worked ok. As I went to use my Ipad or lap-top they would not connect and so they are useless.

Promised one gig we are not getting even close to one gig

Google fiber advertisers one gig but they dont tell you that the service had to be hardwired into the system?????? Weve lost service twice in our area I have requested Google fiber to call me back many times never a call back no great customer services they promise pretty sad

Need a tech

Customer service was awesome. They went above and beyond. Getting a tech to the house was the hassle. I spent over 15 hrs on the phone and 5 1/2 hrs of travel and waiting in line at the store returning stuff over a 2 wk period. To me that is ridiculous when Im paying for ur services. The tech came in and fixed it in 10 mins. Thats the part that left a bad taste in mouth. Thats the part I will remember when someone asks me how I like my google fiber.
